K-PACS views and manipulates DICOM images, measuring and converting them

  DOWNLOAD Free

K-PACS is a general viewing application, which comes along with a cool freeware-- the DICOM Viewer. The K-PACS provides the user with variety of tools for viewing and manipulating DICOM images, measuring and converting those measurements into several image formats and implementation of many other important DICOM service classes such as store, query, retrieve, send and move.

The application makes it possible to comfortably query remote archives, and to do a lot of cool stuff right from downloading images, importing external image data to archives and exporting images onto CDs, as well as emails or hard drives. It supports uncompressed, JPEG-lossy (J4) as well as JPEG-Lossless (J1) DICOM formats.

The user can also move SCU, store SCU from local K-PACS database or external DICOM data such as CDs to target archives and perform format conversion from JPEG and Bitmap to DICOM or vice versa. The user even has the flexibility to export the native DICOM data into the current DICOM Works folder or DICOM studies with or without encryption, anonymization, or compression via emails and modify DICOM tags as well.

Pros

  • Supports multiple DICOM formats, good features

Cons

  • Compatibility issues with Vista

Pathetic software, does not work with DICOM images and or diagnostics reports, unable to provide cloud option to query images, CD (cutting edge Brady bunch technology) will not allow download of DICOM image from a disc, in fact cannot identify an image on the disk - and yet I have to download the free viewer, that cannot be downloaded because you have to create a new email address that is not, Hotmail, GMAIL or YAHOO. Why not create a secure email, validate the pt demographics and allow access from the cloud - pathetic technology. You may hear Duran Duran music playing when downloading the worthless dll's. Sad.
